Printer’s Row Park, Chicago
Architects faced benches with enlarged mirror-imaged names of local streets. In letterpress printing, these fragments of type are called slugs.
The Park lies between two historic locations, the Transportation Building and Sandmeyer’s Bookstore, on South Dearborn Street.
Unusually warm weather in March, 2012, turned on blossoming trees months ahead of schedule. No one complained.
