This winter, after purchasing the usual oatmeal and not opening it, Cream of Wheat, a childhood favourite, wafted subtly into thought. Why not try that instead?
It took a bit to locate, and was only available in a larger box than I’d anticipated.
That was about a month ago. The box is probably half gone already, and winter has just begun.
The recipe for a single serving is 3/4 cup liquid (milk or water) to 3 Tablespoons of cereal. If I’m hungry, the whole recipe gets microwaved. If it’s a bedtime snack, perhaps only 1/4 cup of milk and 1 Tablespoon cereal is cooked.
Very warming, a quick make, and thoroughly delicious!
