While we were out on a Northern Hemisphere vacation, a great singer died, and Terry Teachout’s article in The Wall Street Journal should be mentioned.
We heard Herr Fischer-Dieskau live in recital in the 1970’s, and in our humble opinion the technique and delivery was beyond all expectations.
We’re sorry to hear he’s gone, along with so many other truly great singers and musicians.
