For those who don’t know, Ms. Tharp is an internationally recognized dancer and choreographer. Her book gives her experiences in how she practices the habit of creativity, and also portrays her determination to remaining dancing. It takes considerable self-discipline at any age to keep the schedule she does.
It isn’t a self-help kind of book, so don’t expect it.
Ms. Tharp quotes E.B. White, and writes one must be “prepared to be lucky.” This writer finds the observation quite interesting. Ms. Tharp also thinks of creativity as inspiration; this author agrees.
Ms. Tharp has two other books to her credit. If they’re as good as this, we should check ’em out.
