Things to know about speaking or singing

Now that winter’s mostly gone for people above the equator, it’s time for those living below to get out their woolies.

Whatever the weather where you are, here are some tips from the National Center for Voice and Speech for keeping your  speaking or singing voice in better condition.

Teachers:  Lower on the Home page are 3 articles about problems specific to teachers, with women having more problems than men.

The Videos are also interesting, if you start with the vocal straw exercise.

For chronic vocal fatigue, get to an ENT (ear, nose & throat) specialist.  This site can help you locate one.  Or you might get a laryngologist.  They work exclusively with voice.
